Nandita began her musical studies at the age of seven in Baldock, Hertfordshire. She graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Music (BMus) from King's College London in 2009.
Whilst at King's, she studied violin with Diana Cummings at The Royal Academy of Music. She has since completed a Masters in Violin Performance and a Postgraduate Artist Diploma with Clare Thompson at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, where she performed in masterclasses with numerous eminent violinists including Tasmin Little and Andrew Haveron. Her Postgraduate studies were supported by Trinity Laban and Trinity College London Scholarships.
Nandita undertakes freelance orchestral and session work in London and across the UK, recently performing with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and new BME orchestra Chineke! in their Royal Festival Hall premiere. She is also a member of the Camilli String Quartet, performing recitals and at weddings and events. The quartet won the John Barbirolli String Quartet prize at Trinity Laban in 2015, and were also awarded a place on the Richard Carne Chamber Mentorship Programme. They have performed in masterclasses including the Kronos Quartet and the Wihan Quartet.
